Towngate Theatre is an exciting and lively regional theatre based in Basildon, Essex, where we welcome over 100,000 theatregoers through our doors each year. We present an eclectic mix of theatre, music, comedy and dance across two performance spaces: the Main Auditorium (575 seats) and the Mirren Studio (220 seats).
We provide a friendly and polite welcome to a wide range of professional productions and community organisations, in addition to producing our own successful in-house pantomime.
We are looking for a hard-working, logical and enthusiastic individual to join our team as Theatre Administrator . The successful candidate must have suitable experience with in an administrative Role and providing support to a management team.
As the Theatre Administrator you will provide key administration duties for the operation of the Towngate Theatre including the purchasing of supplies, accounts and contracts related to the performances, events and general operation. The successful candidate will Act as the lead chaperone for the application process and licensing, scheduling, recruitment and supervision of both child performers and chaperones for all Towngate productions and liaise with appropriate licensing authorities. You will be a key point of contact for visiting companies, artists, performers and production staff and be experienced in providing first class customer service, to both external and internal customers You must be a team orientated person.
